Taking the cobra to Rockingham tonight for their 7-midnight street drags. Anyone else local care to join? I've taken it once before but have since put a borla cat-back on. Best time was 14.4. Im hoping for a low 14 second run. Any recomendations on launch RPM's? I can never keep traction off the line. Mods: K&N, 3:55's, borla catback. Nitto radials, not drag radials.

Hold it around 2500 rpm then feather it out. It takes practice. If you can get anything under a 2.0 60 ft on regular radials your doing good.

OK the results are in. I was hoping for a high 13 second run but the best I could do was a 14.05 at 98.54 mph......so close to my target!! Best 60 foot time of 2.125. Only did three runs. First run was 15.0, then 14.2, and finally the 14.0. Should have went one more time, maybe that could have been the 13 second one. Last time I went to the track I ran a best of 14.4 so I'll take the improvement.

I babied my down the track with a 14.8 shifting at 4500 rpm, taking off the line like you would in normal daily driving and NOT power shifting.
