This might sound like an odd question, but I'm looking for some advice.
I'm going on a road trip in a couple of weeks.
Toronto, Ontario, Canada to Summit Point, WV for a SVTOA event and I have decided to continue to Miami, FL afterwards to visit family.
I've never been on a long road trip before - only ever driven between between Toronto & Montreal - about 340mi which takes less than 6hrs. Driven back and forth many times and once in the Cobra - but something tells me the 2days it will take me for this drive won't be the same.
Any tips on what I should bring with?
Be prepared for? I know some freeways have tolls?
Any tips on what I should watch out for?
Or any popular places I should stop at?
I've used GoogleMaps and MapQuest to see the route - seems quite simple.
Laptop will be with me with MS Streets & Trips + GPS Locator - just in case.
Car will be checked out before leaving Toronto and most likely before leaving Miami if anything feels off.
Cooler for drinks and snacks and a cheapy air compressor in the trunk, along with the helmet from the track - in case I run into any tough parts of towns.
