I'm looking to pick up some rims for drag radials and want to know what my options are.

I want to keep the 20" PP wheels on the car for street use and have drag rims for the track. ~45mile drive to the track.

I'm curious to know what people are running on the rear specifically to clear the brakes. 15"/17"? What backspacing?

I'm running 18x10 wheels from american muscle with hoosier drag radials and I'm over an hour away from the the track. I just ran an 11.3 @126 at NED a couple weeks ago, here's the video of my run. There's not a lot of sidewall on the tires (315/30/18) but they hook very well.

Here's a pic. I'm running an off road h-pipe with stock mufflers in the video.

I have a set of Weld RTS 17x10 for mine with MT 295/45/17 DR's. I have test fit the rims but have not had the tires mounted yet.

My 60ft was 1.79 in the video and that was my only run that day. Somewhere around 3500 launch with all traction controls off and did not use launch control.

Good luck with stock tires if you go on Wed! I couldn't get the stock tires to hook on that track at all last year. Shoot me a pm if you decide to go, I might take a trip down there as well.

Are these the rims you are running? It says it doesn't fit the 2013/2014 GT500 Rear???

I really like the weld rims but don't do enough racing to buy them.

I'm running the 18x10 pp replica wheels from American muscle. Mounted 305/18 mt dr's on the rims which gives the car a bit better gearing. These rims are nice since they match the stock rims pretty well. At the track they work well and still allow you to go through the traps in third

we have a weld package with 17x10's for the rear in polished or black, as well as an option for 18x4.5 / 18x5 fronts as well if you want to shave some weight from the front as well

I just bought some 18x10 bullitt style wheels for my car, found some for 105$ a piece from OE wheels. (Ebay) There is also several vendors on here that would be more than willing to help you out. Best of luck. Blow by Racing also has a deal on their website for some race star wheels, for pretty cheap. Go check them out.

If you're doing a track only setup that will see limited street use, go with a bias ply tire like the mickey thompson et street or hoosier qtp. Radials and stick shift ar not the best combo.

I agree, but then need to go w/ 17 in wheel to accomodate slick. Would have to mod out the breaks on 2014--yes? Anything els that would need to be changed to run 17's & slicks?
