Ride Height Question

I have a 1997 coupe with Eiback pro springs and 17" FR500's with 315's out back. I also have J&M non-adjustable LCA's.

The front tire to wheel well gap is good. However, there is a pretty big gap between the rear tires and the top of the wheel well. I was thinking about just cutting half a coil out of the rear springs. Are there any adverse effects to doing this? This is purly for aesthetics, I realize there are no performance gains to be had by doing this.

Thanks for your help.

That might be too much. I'd pull the isos first and see where your at.

I'm not a fan of cutting Springs. If you don't get enough from isos, Id sell your lca and get the adjustable ones.

Not positive, but too low with 315s and you may need to roll your fenders

I cut half a coil off of mine in the front and when I hit bumps it sounded like it was bottoming out- H&R SS springs... also ran 305's and the tires rubbed.

Im not against cutting springs, just be ready for a "worse" ride. Good luck
