reverse lockout not working

So I drove my car in to work today and as I'm leaving the house and getting up to speed I go to shift to 5th and the trans grinds. I was a little unsure of what happened so I attempted again and it went into 5th. Since I know the t56 has a reverse lockout I try it again and sure enough it's letting me go all the way to the right and attempt to go into reverse doing 40+ mph. I did a little research and I've read that the solenoid has a fuse. Could the fuse going bad cause it to NOT lock out, or does it have to be a problem with the solenoid or the PCM controlling the solenoid. Any tests for the solenoid?

I have that problem, check the fuse first #8 i believe. If the fuse looks good then you most likely have a bad reverse solenoid module. My fuse was good, swapped it out with another good fuse with the same results. I'll dig into it in the spring, you can get the part from Ford or GM. GM part #19133262, not sure on Ford part number.
