I have polished aluminum Boyd Coddingtons and they seem to love taking on brake dust and getting corroded-looking. I've tried almost every type of brake dust remover, wheel cleaner and scrubbed them to death, but to no avail. Any suggestions? I haven't resorted to anything like a dremel polisher or scrubbing with steel wool for fear of really wrecking them, but I'm out of ideas...

Start with some clay to pull some of the bonded dirt out.

Then I would invest in a Mother's Power Ball and Power Metal Polish.

Follow with Adam's Metal Polish system for final finishing and upkeep.

Good luck.

for god sakes don't use steel wool or a dremel. If they are really, really bad, you may have to take them to a professional to be compounded unless you have the equipment to do such a thing. Another option is the powerball mini, a high speed drill, and mothers mag and aluminum polish. It's more aggressive than the billet polish. Be prepared to spend some time on them.

Thanks for the input guys. I was (mostly) kidding about the dremel part, but its just so frustrating. Wheres the best place to buy the powerball mini? I've never even heard of it?
