resonators

hi all ,
i need some opinions regarding resonators ... iv got a shelby gt 500 with ARH W/O cats and bassani 3" catback and its extremly loud and alot of drone so what resonators do you guys advice to fix this issue ... brand name , effect , size ... etc .

Go to jegs or summit and search the race bullet. They are about 14-18" long and you get the same diameter as the pipes you are welling them in to. They tone down a good bit of sound, another option would be swapping you bassani for something like a JBA cat back or Mac mms muffler

We also have some T304 resonators that are very reasonably priced and will do the trick as well.

I run the stock mufflers with the ARH 1 7/8 headers and a cat less mid pipe on my 08 and have no drone. Sounds great.

Have you tried the OEM Muff's? Some guys love that sound with ARH O/R

I think the MMS muff's would still be loud running that O/R pipe

For those worried about the packing burning/blowing out, ClassicChambered has a few options.

The Cobrapack without packing (louvered core)...

Classic Chambered Exhaust Inc. - Products

They have resonators as well, not sure about the internal construction.

Burns Stainless also has some high-temp packing material/rebuildable mufflers.

I wouldn't want a chambered resonator .....

That adds back pressure (boost increase)

I have a straight through all the way back from the long tubes with no Cats.
