Reset computer after mods?

I just put a 160* thermostat in and was wondering if I should disconnect the battery, let it sit awhile, and then connect it back start the truck and let it idle for about 15min.? I know I use to do this on my 96 trans am ram air when I did a mod., but wasnt sure about the lightning. Just wondering what I need to do. Thanks in advance,

It shouldn't be necessary. You tuned it for the 160* stat right? That should be all that is necessary.
