Im looking to replace the blown lower door speaker on my 2000 GT. It has the factory Mach460 system in it. Im not looking to go crazy and replace everything but would like to upgrade door speakers for a little better sound since the divers side is blown.

Will these JL audio's fit and work well with the factory system?

JL Audio C2-570X (c2570x) 5" x 7" Evolution C2 Series 2-way

Thanks

I'm wanting to say no but others may chime in. I've tried running after market speakers in both of my cars with the 460. It worked fine until I cranked the volume up, then the base would cut out.

From what I found the mach 460 runs weird ohm speakers. When you replace the factory ones it causes the amp to go into protection mode. Not to mention your door speakers only receive a low signal, so 2 ways wouldn't be ideal.

Most bypass the mach system and run aftermarket.

*not an audio guru so take this with a grain of salt

Thanks for the input. I dont know much at all about must about the stereo systems. I just figured a speaker of the same size would work. Im not looking to rewire the whole car. I was palnning on just wiring in a new harness/clip to the new speakers and connecting them to the door herness that way.
