replacement air filter paxton competition inlet intake

Hi guys, I have a paxton supercharger with the competition inlet intake and air filter is not in good shape. I would like to replace it but is it necessary on the top I have a concave cone or I can replace like Airaid air filter? I don't know if my explication is clear?

I just want to know if cavity in the top of the filter is important with a paxton

I would just be worried if the caved part of it is damaged enough to slowly break into tiny pieces or dust due to the shape being constricted & get sucked in.

no my filter doesn't have dammage cavity. is the form of the filterI would like to change it for a red cotton but I would like to know if is necessary to have a cavity a the top or I can change it for a flat top?

Oh I see. It might make a difference with the whole tornado flow it creates opposed to the flat ones that do not if that makes any sense.

Maybe on the long run it matters, but I really dont know. But it couldnt hurt to have better air flow over one that might have less.

Where do you get just the filter not the rest of the inlet for that JLT? I have the competition inlet and would like a new filter but don't need a new tube and my setup does not have maf placement there for draw through.
