I got either some grease or silicone stuff from my tri-ax install on my suede insert. any of you have recommendation to removing the stain?

What about general maintenance and keeping them clean?

thanks in advance

General maintenence would be scotch guard for me. As far as removing the stain I would use very mild soap and water if you haven't already. Nothing too harsh. I got a greese stain up with that.

I got the stain out with some "hoover carpet cleaner" which is probably nothing more than a mild soap solution as "03yllwguy" recommended

Gives you perspective on stuff and a good reason to scotch guard on a regular basis!

Thanks "03yllwguy"!

6 parts water, one part Woolite in a spray bottle. Works very well and is completely safe.

I sat on my seat with grease on my pants and left two large grease spots. After blotting up as much as I could, I pre moistened the alcantara [suede] and blotted and wiped with diluted Simple Green. Then I blotted with water. The grease came out completely.
