Have one im working on right now, has long tube headers and looks like to get the transmission out you have to take the passenger side long tube out?

Also can I just drop the engine and trans out of the bottom on the kmember?

The easiest route to remove everything all at once is dropping it out with the K member. After that you can separate the engine/trans alot easier.

i think in a lot of cases the pass side header would have to be loosened up/removed to get the trans out.

out the bottom with everything together is how Ive done all mine.

its not too bad, I do it in my garage at home with no lift. Engine hoist, jack stands (At least 4), low profile jack, transmission jack and 2 steel wheel dollies

i dont think you have to drop it all the way. jack the car up, loosen up engine mounts and k-member, jack one side, install a header, jack the other side install a header, put it all back together.
