Removing center caps - HELP!

I've dismounted my CCW's so I can get them repolished/coated. I've removed the TPMS band/sensor, valve stems, etc. What I can't seem to figure out is how to get the center caps out! Are they just pounded in, or some other means that I am not understanding?

I tried tapping them out and they didn't budge so I wanted to check before I pull out the bigger hammer

I used a broomstick with some duct tape wrapped around the tip to help cushin it. (Didnt want to crack the cap). Pushed from the inside in a tapping motion, popped right out.

If you don't mind me asking what does it run to get them polished?

They should've just been held by an o-ring. You figured it out.

I always use the HANDLE end of the hammer, not the business end.

Just stick the handle down the hole and give the cap a good rap using the weight of the hammer to pop it out.
