you can try wetsanding it and buffing it out.

As long as there is a clear coat where the badge use to be you can wetsand and buff.

This is true, but, if the base color is not exact, you will still see the GT logo anyway. Honestly, your best bet is to just buy a brand new emblem, and put it back on.
