hopefully this is in the correct forum...

hey guys, im going to be repainting my chevelle after i get a cowl hood here after this summer, and since choosing a production color for the repaint would help save some dough, i've been looking into ford colors, namely redfire and torch red. if you guys have a car with one or the other, please post a pic or offer your opinion. i would like to compare these two and try to choose which i am going to use for my repaint. thanks :-D

I'm a redfire, I love it. Basically a candy red.

Your car appears to be close to Torch red now, maybe a bit darker.

Here's some pics:

Pictures don't ever do the Redfire justice. The mettalic never shows, in person it glitters like a jewel. The pics make it just look cherry red, but with the sun shining it definitely sparkles.

Torch Red will never match that :coolman:

I love torch red. I have not seen a redfire in person but from the pictures Ive seen it seems to be a bit maroon. I hate maroon, personal preference! The only thing I dont like about Torch red is in the bright bright light it seems to me to have a bit of an orange hue.

My Torch Red coupe. I think it's a little sportier/aggressive than Redfire, but obviously I'm biased. It gets plenty of attention from cops though. I love Torch Red because at times it looks almost lipstick red, others times it's nearly a blinding orange... very bright (see avatar).

I also have a torch red GT. I am a fan of both and sometimes I wish I would have went with the Laser Red. The name changed in 03 to Redfire.

Torch Red = Performance Red?

Does anyone have a good list of all Mustang Paint codes?

Redfire is awesome.
I reminds me of the Red that was used on the 96-98 Cobras.....can't think of the name off the the top of my head but it was a great color.
