I've been hearing that DSS mod motors have come a long way. The quality, etc. is top notch. Has anyone on here recently purchased a long block from them, and if so, please comment on it.

Thanks,

~Joe

I bought a DSS 331 Stroker about 6 years ago and it was not so Top Notch. C Clip unloaded on a piston pin. They should have used spiral locks. I was happy they warranteed it but not so happy about the costs and time that went into tearing it out, putting it back togather and shipping.

also, they state that the final responsibility of ensuring proper specs sizing etc falls in the hands of the end user. if thats the case, why bother paying them to assemble a motor?
