rear tire question

Which would you expect to offer better grip, a nitto nt05 in 275/40/17 or a nitto 555 in 315/35/17?

What type of grip are we talking about? Off-the-line, cornering, wet traction? How wide are the wheels they will be going on?

Just general all around purpose. Some auto-x, some drag, street driving. The 275 would go on a 9 inch wide and the 315 would go on a 10.5 wide.

With that being said, the NT05 Max Performance in size 275/40-17 would be the way to go.
