Rear Hub Replacement

remove knuckle from car

with a step plate and a shop press, press out the hub

remove the giant snap ring (takes some stout snap ring pliers)

press out bearing

look at the hub and see if it was spinning inside the bearing. if it was, replace the hub too.

to reinstall:
press bearing back into knuckle
replace bigass snap ring
while supporting the inner race of the wheel bearing, press in the hub.

The URL was only posted as info I have no connection but he was recomended by people who were satisfied by his service. I take the $75 to be for a pair of bearings. I just called the local ford store for a price, they quoted 58.93 ea for the stock bearing, I don't know if this is the (NTN ET-CR1-0846, double row tapered roller bearings. A local machine shop nicked me $25 just to press out 1 hub and press back a different one.
