Need your help.
I bought an IRS minus the brakes for my GT.

-I know my GT calipers are the same as the
calipers used in 03-04 cobras.

-I know I dont need brake brackets cause they are on the IRS.

-Once thing's for sure I'll need 11.65 inch rotors

-I think I have the brake lines too.

-My mustang GT has moan braces. does the IRS have those???

Ive done that swap.
You will not need moan braces, but the calipers are different.
If you car has traction control then you will want to use
the IRS brake hoses on both sides. If you don't the IRS
brake hose on the passenger side will not work, you
will have to use the gt line and bend it till it fits.
Because you will need to keep the "T" fitting on the end of the
GT hose.

I dont have traction control so I can keep the gt break lines
on both sides?
I have read everywhere that the calipers are the same.
do you know the part number of the rear 03-04 calipers?

Sorry don't know the number. The calipers may be the same
I'm not sure but the brake pads are for sure different.
They are thinner due to the increased width of the rotors.

I would not use the GT line on the drivers side.
The cobra IRS line is much better. You will see,you can
make the Gt line work on the pass. side but it gets
really close to rubbing, but if you bend it carefully
it will work.

thanks man thats some good info.
yea the cobra pads are much thinner
because the cobra rotors are thicker.
if the GT pads are worn enough then they
can be reused. better to get cobra pads.
