Also another point of advice. If you are using a power bleeder or other bleeding pressure system make sure to de-pressurize the system and take cap off brake fluid reservoir BEFORE screwing in the rear caliper pistons.
If you don't the pressure can lead to damage in the steering rack seals or other seals throughout the hydroboost system.
Follow-up question:
I am going to replace the rear calipers or have my reconditioned next few weeks. Have all new brake system parts (even ABS computer) and want to make sure the rears are 100%.
Do I need to remove that dreaded spring or the parking brake cable to swap out calipers? I am afraid I will need to do so but want to confirm and determine best method. Thanks.
i followed on The complete 'how-to' write-up thread where it was it take 2-3 minutes of grunting but still very easy.. thesse calipers.HOLY CRAP! they wont go in
