They are 412hp crank stock, they might dyno 370-390 depending on a bunch of variables come dyno day. An LS/VTEC swap entails using a b18 block with a gsr head."</p><p></p><p>At this point im getting pretty annoyed and my cousin (in the back seat) whispers in my ear "dude just let it go, he doesnt like being wrong" so I did.</p><p></p><p>While waiting for lanes at the gun range, he startes spewing more retardation. Things like "X pipes have more flow, H pipes restrict flow" after I told him I prefered the H pipe on mustangs compared to X's as I dont like the raspines (and his 5.0 was raspy as **** and sounded HORRIBLE!). Some other things like saying that honda does 12's flat in the quarter (lol @ that), and how he thinks he has an 11 second car because he took him by 5 carlengths by end of 4th from a dig. </p><p></p><p>Heres more quick tidbits of the retardation:</p><p> - 99/01 Cobras come stock with a whipple supercharger, the 03/04's got neutered with the Vortech unit (HOLY **** @ THAT)</p><p> - GT350 is better than a GT500, why? read below. In his world the 350 comes with, yet again, a Whipple supercharger. Think thats the only brand he knew.</p><p> - His buddies '11 5.0 with a whipple at 22psi stock motor makes 900hp </p><p> - He launches in 2nd gear because it gives him more torque</p><p> - He has wheelspin in 4th gear with his diablo canned tune so he had to put the stock tune in </p><p> - All a GT500 is is a standard GT with shelby ground effects and the brembo brake package (that he has already).</p><p> - My cobra was slow because I only did a 13.0.... going from 2nd to 4th because that night 3rd had me on lockdown.</p><p></p><p>He asked me what a Procharger has that a standard supercharger doesnt. "Uhh, Procharger is a company that makes centrifugal styled superchargers, like Vortech, Powerdyne and others" him - "oh, I thought its like a upgrade for a standard supercharger". So the logic behind him thinking he has "600hp" and having a close race with a "400hp" pos civic (you should see the facebook vid, its laughable at best) is just uncanny.</p><p></p><p>I asked him if hes on any forums when we got back to my cousins place. Obvious answer was "Nope. I dont need the internet to do my mods"</p><p></p><p><img src="http://norcal-dsm.com/images/smilies/lol-face.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></p><p></p><p>Its become obvious there is a big difference between people in the community that are part of forums where misinformation is squashed down and real information on real mods and realistic gains is readily available, compared to people who open up a Summit magazine and think everything they do gains 50hp. </p><p></p><p>Oh and he honestly thought Autozone would have the replacement cable to his Diablo tuner. LOL "no dude, thats a proprietary cable they use now, no more DB9 to OBDII, autozone wont have it" and sure enough. </p><p></p><p>On top of that, it wasnt even that fast, and the rear end had some creak to it already.
