Well the ls1 did hurt cobra feelings. And the 5.0 picks up were the ls1 left off
troll be trollin......
edit:
read the 5.0 build.
lol, i guess suspension mods, weight loss, nitrous and proper drag tires are all stock where the LS kid comes from?
i think the car is awesome, it's just not a stock 5.0.
The cobras make more than 390(untuned off dealer lot with intake/catback my friend did 420 whp; which is full bolt on 5.0 territory), that's like saying I have 310 horsepower because that's what it's rated, when I really did 322 whp stock.
I have never seen a 400 whp cobra run what 400 whp 5.0s do.
420 whp 5.0 vs 420 whp cobra, the cobra will never stand a chance.
This will solve it.
Are you manual?
LS1FTMFW
dumb shit, blah, blah, LS1, blah, 5.0, blah, blah, selfie, blah, blah, skinny jeans, blah, trailer park, blah
Who the hell let this guy back in the house? Go sit in the corner, shut up, and feel lucky to even be able to be present on this site after the bullshit you spouted last time. The inaccuracies of your Mustang knowledge are giving me a migraine.
I find it hilarious some people continue to compare a 10 year old car to something brand new. I honestly, have never seen so much controversy over a single car no longer in production, besides the supra, that continues to be compared to today's technology.
If you people want to continue to compare a 5.0 to a Terminator, go right ahead. I'm not sure why people think a stock 5.0 is so much faster than a stock terminator. It's not, they are pretty dead even. It was a underrated 390....more like 420ish HP car. You can mod all day long on a 5.0, but dollar for dollar (like some have already said) swapping a blower with exhaust and tune and it's a whole other territory. You'd have to spend so much money on a 5.0 to even come close to competing. Terminators belong in the comparison group with shelby's, not 5.0 N/a mustangs. Sorry
Well here's what round 2 looked like between me and the cobra, he still had issues once hitting 5-5.5k rpms in third the car fell off in power at the end of third through forth .. He's going to look into a data logging to see if hes needing a re-tune.
Me- 444/386
Cobra - 480/480, 2.8 pulley, catless exhaust, Intake and heat exchange

400whp cobalt ss TC was chase car
That's interesting since that guy is making more power and carrying less weight then my brother and he seems to have done much worse against you.
Yeah I think it's missing some horses somewhere but it's basically a brand new cobra with only 14k miles. Don't know if his eaton is heat soaking real bad, needs colder spark plugs or if it's in need of a good tune..
The lighter race star wheels made almost a car lengths difference and the whiteline bushing didn't hurt either.

My 2011 GT had a set of drag radials, and a tune. It ran 12 flat @ 115mph.
My buddy's 03 Vert had a ported blower @ 15-16psi, tune, long tubes, exhaust, and a set of drag radials. It ran 11.90's @ 115-116mph. Stock for stock, it's not even close.
My 11 5.0 went 12.50's with nothing more than a set of drag radials.
after the first bolt gets turned on either car there is no direct or equal comparison that can be made.
it's either compare them 100% stock for stock or dollar for dollar potential.
stock for stock it's a drivers race... period!
dollar for dollar... shit, that's a tough one and it's anybody's game.

The only thing that I've seen is people having a hard time launching them, that whole instant torque/pd blower thing. At the same time, I've seen a ton of Coyotes in the high 12's and low 13's.your pal isn't the shining example of a ported cobra 1/4 mile. you know it's rather common for a 500hp +/- Cobra to run low 11 or better right?
just so you're aware a STOCK Cobra will run 12.5 on street tires...

I agree with you, a drivers race between the two
I can agree with that, I not only had a prob launching due I'm in need of a bit of suspension work but the staging lane here at the track in el paso isn't level, soon as i got off the brake i rolled back outta the lights lol. I guess its heel toeing for me now. fastest run so far here for me at 3800ft elevation is a 13.2
