A few days ago, I posted my results of several dyno runs of Paul's Air Intake and 01 Catback in separate stages (baseline, add air intake, add 01 catback).
http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=200625#post200625
I wrote that I had not disconnected the battery but had driven the car hard for a week before dynos #3 and #5. The results were crummy, so I decided to disconnect the battery (15 minutes) a few days ago, drive the car hard and then re-dyno.
Now we have decent results but unfortunately, not by stages.
Run#2 is my baseline - silencer removed with K&N 0945 filter, all else stock.
Run#3 added Paul’s High Performance air intake (sock on), all else stock.
Run#5 changed the exhaust to a stock 01 catback, keeping Paul’s intake.
Run#7 same as run#5 but battery disconnected first.
Max Numbers:
Run#2 – 378.0 HP, 383.0 TQ
Run#3 – 385.7 HP, 382.3 TQ
Run#5 – 387.4 HP, 377.3 TQ
Run#7 - 396.0 HP, 385.4 TQ
Between Run#2 and Run#7, max HP increased by 18.0; max TQ increased by 2.4 (no more lost low-mid TQ). More important, average HP increased by 7.3; average TQ increased by 7.1 A good across the board increase above 3800 RPM and very little difference below 3800 RPM . AF real nice with an average of 11.7
After all this work and dynos, it appears there is an advantage to Paul's Intake and the 01 Catback together but I do not know which part added or subtracted to the numbers. As I said before, car sounds great and now it feels great!
I will post my copy and paste chart which will be a little jumbled but still legible. It will show gains and losses by 100 RPM.
