Please refer to the post above. I started typing and got side tracked, came back and didn't see your post lol. It can be a very stressful business as times. Like I said in the earlier post, it's a 24 hour job. There have been numerous times I have gone out in the middle of the night and had to run a funeral the next morning on hardly any sleep. Thankfully that doesn't happen to often. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Emmanuel College in Boston, MA, although a Bachelor Degree is not necessary. The requirements are: -Completion of an Associates Degree in Mortuary Science (2 year degree, although some schools do it in 1 year accelerated that goes throughout the summer). -Success in passing the National Board Exam (required in all 50 states, 250 Questions in the Arts Category, 250 in the Science Category, minimum of 80% to pass). -In CT, you need to complete a 1 year apprenticeship and embalm 50 bodies, than do a practical (embalming a body in front of a state official). -After that you can apply and pay the state some ridiculous fee. -Every other year pay $200 to renew the license. -Every year complete 10 CEU's. Here are some pictures of our facility. In the last pic you can see our 4 car garage where we store a bunch of our vehicles. We have: -3 hearses -2 Limo's -3 Escalades -1 Removal Vehicle (Chrysler T&C) -My car (2013 XTS) -My Father's Car (2017 CT6) Both my father's car, my car and the Escalades are all used as lead vehicles in processions. Figured I'd post a pic of my other baby. My 2013 XTS Platinum. I am very proud to drive this car and it has sentimental value to me. When my Dad started in this business he was given my grandfather's old car for many years. When I was little, I always looked at my Dad's license plate and dreamed of the day I had a Cadillac with my plate. My dad bought this car brand new and I inherited it in January 2017 when I became a licensed director. The plate RCA - FD stands for (Raymond Christopher Albini - Funeral Director).
