RACED 05 MUSTANG GT (AUTO) on TELEGRAPH IN MONROE

my friend and i were in his modded 01 GTP (3.4 pulley, cai, ubend, borla catback, drilled t-stat) when a 05 gt pulled up (redfire color). at the light we took off and at about 5mph my friend gunned the GTP, right after the gt followed suit. he stayed at our qtr panel to about 70 when we let off.

its pretty quick to say the least. sure there was an extra person in the GTP but we also got the jump, which is a HUGE advantage. we were both impressed. the GTP runs 13.9's.

CLIFF NOTES: got the jump on 05 GT auto, nobody pulled. gtp runs high 13's.

Sounds about right. I cant wait till we get some 1/4 mile times out of the 5-speeds .

they should be high 13's with a good driver when they first come out

im sure someone will hit 13.5's after they're out and fiddle with the tire pressure ect ect

I would be surprised if they were as slow as high 13's.

why? they've got 300hp and alot of weight. so why would it be any faster than a current mach?

weight transfer, new suspention... with about the same weight and hp i would hope it to be faster than the mach 1 with the new chassis

yea good points, but also street racing is pretty retarted anyway. we got the punch which is a crazy advantage plus it wasnt a long race. and it was an auto.

i bet once people buy them and race them you'll see some pretty good times. the same thing happens with every car, the times drop over the first few months/year
