Quick TPMS question

So i bought some rear rims/tires for my 2011 mustang from american muscle and decided that i would remove the original TPMS sensor and swap them into the new wheels. I decided to throw them on and go for a ride (without the sensors installed yet). I didn't get a light. When will the light go off ? I'm not sure if it matters but i did start the car in the garage with the tire laying next to the car (so maybe the range ws close) but i thought they would went off when i went i my ride. I did restart the car down the street to confirm i wouldn't get a light, no light.

Can i drivfe around with the sensors installed ?

It takes about 20 miles for the light come on.

Thanks for the help, so do i just hit the clear button to erase it or does it stay on ?

it stays on constantly. there are 2000 threads on this same topic, no way to make it go off without sensors in the wheels
