Will a STB made for a 98 Cobra work on 96 and 97 Cobra?

Well I'm assuming it's an aftermarket STB, since the 98's had no STB from the factory. They should all be identical tho. I can't think of a time where I saw a difference in any of them.
yes it is an aftermarket one for a 98. I thought they were the same as well, but for some reason they have two part numbers...
