A couple months ago I got my first ticket ever. I rolled through a stop sign out by my house in BFE, and got stopped by a neighbor who happens to be a sherriff. He was cool about it and just gave me a warning on the stop sign, but got me for no seatbelt, which I felt was pretty understandable.
I haven't ever had to pay one before, but it was just $10, so I sent in a ten dollar bill, not knowing you couldn't pay with cash. Like a month later I got a notice that it hadn't been payed, and ended up paying it online. Again, I wasn't too bothered by it, it was just another $10, NBD.
Just curious why cash is frowned upon for paying a ticket?
