Do I need to order springs to fit our generation of Cobras or will the springs described as "fits any 79-04 V8 Mustang" be the same thing? So basically is there a difference between the two?

I have BBK springs off an 87 GT in my 98 Cobra

Some DO vary. The spring rates are different.
Also, 99/01/03-04 Cobra springs won't work, they are IRS.
