The Cobra's require 93 octane for fuel, is this the same for the GT's, or can 87 be used for those cars if they are stock?

I'm 100% positive the GT's run fine on 87. Not to say it won't run BETTER on 93, but 87 will do just fine.

GT's can run on 87 octane just fine.

low compression motors can make the same power on 87 as it can on 93, according to Bully Dog.

what do you 94/95 cobra guys run for gas? I use 87. When gas was really cheap I was running 93 for a couple weeks but I noticed absolutely no difference so I went back to 87.

96 you need to run I guess a min. of 91 if your stuck in Cal., anywhere else if you can get the 93 go for it. The 94-95 should run on 87 unless you advance the timing then you need to run 89 or prem.

5.0's cobra's and 4.6 GT's run 87 unless you bump the timing.

4.6 cobra's run 93. Any less and you will get pinging and possibly bigger problems.

wth the Knock sensors in our car you should be able to run any thing, if it detects knocking/pinging it should just back off the timming....right....?

It will but that is reactive, not proactive.

Knock is bad. You don't want it to get to the point where the Knock sensors pull timing.

92-94 depending on which pump im at. Have run 98 at the pump when i didnt have cats and with some timeing changes. You could look into tolune as an addative a couple boosted cars around here are running a toulene+92 mix so they can run more boost
