FMS-M-6675-C302 This is the part number for the stock replacement chrome oil pan from ford racing. I just purchased it from Summit Racing. I have a few questins. On the pick up tube that it includes, it has a kink pretty noticeable that i believe should not be there, it will be blocking or restricting the oil flow. Also, the finish on the section where the bolts bolt in, is not smoth, it seems that when they drilled the holes at the factory, nothing was shaved to make it smoth. I had previously ordered the Summit brand, and I asked them replace it for this part number for these same reasons. I thought that the ford racing would have a better finished, or would be just like the stock pan at least. But both pans look identical to me. Do you think all the pick up tubes are the same, or this one is defective. I dont know if anyone of you had ordered this part number before, and could help me. I will attach some pictures for details.

Have you called Ford to ask them about the kink in the pick up tube?

No I did not try that. I called Summit and I will exchange it for the same part and hopefully it is not the same. I dont remember if the factory pickup tube had the kink.

The factory pickups do have a pretty pronounced kink in them.

I just had UPS ship it back, and asked Summit to replace it by the same part number. I will let you know how the next one is. By the way, I was thinking of the another oil pan that is in the ford racing catalog that is painted black. The reason I did not get it is because it does not have the hole to screw the low oil sensor.

The oil pickup is correct. All factory fox 5.0 have that notch for assembly clearence to the mounting bolt.

Nothing is really wrong with the oil pan either... All late model 5.0/5.8 have an extra steel pan rail that the bolts go through. They are used so that the pan seals better. Use them like they should be and you will never see the pan mounting holes

Show us pictures of the new one you get and then we can compare them together.

Dude, that pickup isn't right. There is a dimple/notch from the factory, but not like that mangled mess. Here is a pic of of what it should look like.

After looking at the other pic, it doesn't look so bad, but I've never seen one that crinkled up on the inside radius of the bend. I personally wouldn't use it.

I agree, in the picture you posted it does not look that bad as the pick up I received. Thanks for the picture. I should be getting the pan this week, I will keep you guys posted.
