Hey all, I've been in the mustang world since I first got my license, started with a V6, then a '96 Cobra, but I want to upgrade to an '03 terminator...

now my question:
I've been told the build date is very important because of the problems with the ticking, etc. What build date time period were the problems found in? And how many would you say have encountered this problem? I'm shelling out all my money for this and won't have money to do major repairs for about 6 months (paying off loans, etc), so I want to make sure I get a decent cobra.

Thanks for the input

I've got #83 built for model year 2003. No problems with the tick...so I'd say it's the luck of the draw. You can't nail it down to a production run since there was never an official recall, just a TSB.

Because I know all the people ask if they have the build date and such. Hmm, what kind of fixing does the ticking take in case I need it fixed?
