Question: Will Tires Fit?

Hello All,

I'm interested in hearing from those of you who have fit or tried to fit 285 or 295 size tires on a 9-inch rim.

I may purchase a set of Nitto 555 drag radials at 285/35/18 or a set of BFG T/A KDs at 295/35/18.

How will those tires fit on my 9-inch rim?

I've heard of guys stretching 305s and 315s on 9-inch rims, but I wanted to hear from people who actually have experience doing it.

Also, feel free to weigh in with your opinions on the Nittos and the BFGs.

put 315/35s Sumitomo on stock wheels. looks great and no problems.

The Nitto 555R 315/35/17 will fit the stock rim, so I KNOW the 285 will too. The 295 / 35/17should be no problem too. I am talking about the back though.

For the front, I would not go over the stockers just to avoid problems.

I too have the 315 on my stock wheels. They fit great, and look awesome too.

How about for 18inch rims? Anything to worry about with those?
