question on where a hose goes on my 98 cobra

Underneith the drivers side Tower Ignition Coil there is a like valve with a hose comming off it and not sure where it goes, must be some type of vacumm I am assuming

Found out it is the air bypass valve (SMOG) Got the vortech s-trim on the car now and wondering if this could be deleted or not

When I installed my Vortech, I removed all the smog stuff and just welded the headers fittings shut. I also had my tuner turn the smog stuff off to prevent the CEL.
