I've got a set of aluminum wheels I'm trying to fix up some scratches and wheel weight marks. Basically need to get off the clearcoat first. A buffing pad with white rouge doesn't do much, steel wool works great but is too labor intensive. I tried a 3M pad, but that scratches the aluminum. I'm going to try a nylon wheel next. Any suggestions short of getting them bead blasted? I'm not sure if stuff like Strip Ease would work.
