Question on O2 sensors

I am looking at JBA headers (because they are CARB legal) and the MRT H-pipe. (I can change the H-pipe back to stock easily but not the headers in case I need to for California smog inspection) My question is: I know I can turn the rear O2 sensors off in the tune and use the front sensors. Can I use MIL eliminators on the rears instead so I don't have to go to a tuner to make these changes? Does this make sense?

Yes the MIL's will work on the rears for the check engine light :beer:
