Question on Engine build

Helping my little brother with an engine build on his '02 4.6. Dont know if we should build the current engine in the car or buy a complete new one. Which would be cheaper? I was looking at a motor at Modular Powerhouse for almost $4,000 that will support 800 hp. That is all I need.

get one thats already assembled. The hassle of buying parts seperate, having them balanced and assembled, with cost of time and labor just really isnt worth it to me. There are deals out there for forged shortblocks.
