As I have now moved on passed the 40 year old mark(43), I must admit I pay more attention to those male testosterone commercials. Sometimes I do feel like I could use more energy. I'm wondering if anyone has tried any of them, and what your thoughts on them are. Thanks.

I remind myself I'm on SVTP and my testosterone automatically shoots up to near psychotic levels.

Buy several different 'energy' brands and find which one makes you feel naturally energetic. 5hr energy works wonders..anything else gives me the shakes or anxiety

Don't use any of the chemical energy enhancers myself. I figure I've worked and played prety hard, so maybe it's natural to rest a bit more nowadays. If you think you have a real problem, e.g. a slow thyroid or something, go see a Doctor first. Also, most young 20 something women don't find us FOGs all that attractive anyway, so there's probably a good reason you "energy" is down.

Since I'll be turning 42 in the next few weeks I understand exactly where the OP is coming from but it's just not a question you can ask in this venue and get many straight answers since the majority of folks here are not our peers ( to put it euphemistically ) and they have no frame of reference for what we're talking about. Subsequently be prepared for all kinds of juvenile "dick jokes". :bored:

Our only consolation is that 20 or so years from now it won't seem nearly as funny to these same folks as they confront the same issues and others - like prostate exams . . . :cryying: As a good friend of mine often says, "If you have the privilege of continued life, you eventually learn that Father Time is undefeated. He WILL change you in ways that you didn't expect and don't want but it's just part of the deal so try to make peace w/ it."

In a serious attempt to answer your question I did quite a bit of reading on this myself not long ago and from what I've gathered unless your having problems between the sheets I'd stay away from the pure "boner pills" like Viagra, Ciallas and Extenze ( I've read Extenze is pretty much worthless at what it's even advertised for ). I read up on subjects like "Low T" and eventually decided to try some of the things you can get at GNC and The Vitamin Shoppe. A couple of weeks ago I started taking this testosterone booster:
High T -All Natural Testosterone Booster by High T - HM-1024 - at The Vitamin Shoppe

I also started taking a DHEA supplement and Twin Labs Tribulus fuel. And of course I'm watching what I eat more and trying to get more exercise which can be tricky since I work from home and sit on my butt all day. So far I do feel like I have a bit more energy and I'm sleeping a bit better but I keep waking up w/ a headache in the morning though I think that could be due to dehydration. The affects have in no way been dramatic, though I hear it can take a while for these sorts of things to build up in your system. I have noticed my hair seems to be growing a bit faster though . . .

So that's my best shot at a serious answer, I shall now step aside and don my flame suit for those that still think growing older is just funny . . . :burn::burn::burn::burn::burn::burn::burn::burn:

Growing older is proof that God has a sense of humor. You 40 somethings just wait. Things that happen in your 50's are just plain awesome. So far, yearly prostrate exams, heart attack, belly flab that won't go away, aches, pains, vision and hearing losses, diet modifications, memory lapses (minor), friends making the obit. pages, hair loss, general dental weakening, needing bolt cutters to trim toenails, and back hair. Upside, I am very appreciative of each day I get, been considering everything from May 21, 2010 as bonus time for me.

. . . this is the one that probably scares me the most. I lost my mother two years ago and was totally unprepared for it even though she had cancer and went down hill for a long time. I know my dad will be going sooner rather than later now and since I'm an only child it makes me sad that I'll be the only one left from out original family.

Sometimes when I'm w/ my closest long time friends I find myself wondering which of us will go first and how . . . ? It's just not something you take seriously until you start hitting those mile stone ages.

. . . okay, enough of that sadness!

I guess the point is, take care of yourself and appreciate the time, people and experiences you have in life!

Steroids are the best route. When administrated correctly they are as harmful as vitamin-C. The media blow's the effects out of proportion. Go see your primary doctor and ask to have a testosterone test done and see what your level's are.

250mL of test-e a week divided into two shots (maybe Tuesday and Friday)

How's your diet?
Are you fat?
Do you exercise?

Look at your body as a vehicle, you want to give it the best and treat it well.

Good luck you no penis working mofo.lol jk

Actually, I have no problems "between the sheets". My problem is being much more attached to the couch than I use to be. I was thinking about something along the lines of the High t natural stuff that rex-racer mentioned. Just something that might work more naturally than drinking a 5 hour energy everyday.
