As many of y'all may know, I'm a volunteer firefighter here in Texas. The time has now come though for me to move on, and I'll be resigning this week. My question is this; How long do I have to remove the emergency equipment (lightbar/siren) from my vehicle? Is it something that needs to be done immediately, or do I have a little time? Thanks y'all! !

+1 to Adam's post. When I resigned from the FD, I also had to hand in my blue light permit. Without the permit, you have no right to have emergency lights on your personal vehicle.

Thanks y'all, that's what I was afraid of. I just hope I don't get raped on un-installation costs...

How come you didn't go with an easy suction cup mount on your windshield? I still have mine. I should sell it now that I think about it.
