Question for LEOS..clarification needed

Can a LEO please explain "Unreasonable Speed +/- 80"

Now before I get flamed, I know what Unreasonable Speed means. But I don't understand what +/- 80 means. Does that mean he didn't get an exact speed on me?

And, in the state of Indiana, how many points is this?

Unreasonable speed is exactly what you think it is! It means you were travelling too fast for conditions/time of day/traffic, etc. The +/- 80 means that is where he estimated your speed to be, because he probably wasnt using radar/laser.

Call the number of the clerk's office on your ticket and she will be able to answer your questions.
