So, I am trying to lower my shifting RPM from the stock setting (7000?) to about 6400 to try and save the stock OPGs until I change them.
The "other settings" in my SCT programmer can let me adjust the rev limiter or the shift points. Now, I figure I need to lower the rev limiter but what should I do with the shift points? You can adjust them -3 to +3 MPH, it looks like.
I figure I'll probably have to have the tuner do this adjustment after a log, but . . .
I'm at 98.4 MPH (roughly) at 5988 RPMs in 3rd. So I wonder if a 3 MPH drop would even do much. 95.5 MPH is 5870 RPMs. Only a 100 RPM difference.
