This might have been asked about on here before but I didn't find it. Is there a way to find the build date for my car? In the brief research I've done I believe it has a build date of June of 2006 making it one of the first Shelbys produced. Is there a build tag on the car somewhere? My 1990 Mercury Cougar XR7 back in high school had a metal build tag attached to the IRS pumpkin with the build date and what shift it was built on.

there is a tag on the engine if i'm not mistaken with the guy that put it together. Not sure if a date is up there or not but if you do a google search for VIN identification it will show you how to figure it out from the VIN

Take your VIN and plug it in here after the = sign, the exact production date will be in the upper left corner of the window sticker.
