I am looking to buy a focus off my some guy that my freinds knows.
Would you guys be able to let me know how good of a motor this is?

This car is NA right now....but i didn't tell you everything it has.

Lets see.

Eagle Rods
Forged Probe pistons (9.0:1 currently)
ARP studs (head and main)
FC Throttle Body
CAI (we all know that makes like 50hp heh)
2.5" Flex Pipe
2.5" Dual Exhaust
B&M Short Shifter
Shaved Door Handles w/ Autoloc Acts.
Body kit (front bumper needs repainted and sides have small chips)
Stock front bumper included with car
Rear seat removed...but it also comes with the car
A crapload of guages - boost, 2 A/F's, EGT
MSD coil pack & wires

He says there's 50K miles on the car. Only about 2K miles on the motor.
I can buy the car off him for $4,800 I just need something reliable that I can use all year round. If there are any questions I can ask him so you guys can help me with my decision.
If you want to ask him directly for me. Just go to www.focusedtuners.com and look in the classifieds.
Thanks BJ

Great price, but ditch the Ebay CAI and get an AEM, ditch the OEM horrible exhaust manifold and replace the ricey Faze guage with an AEM wideband...

TRUE THAT IS A GREAT PRICE, but you said you wanted something reliable. I would defenatley wonder how reliable this ride is. Is the computer programmed so it drives like oem or like a race car? It's for sure an awesome platform to start with, all it needs is a ball bearing snail and a kick-ass tune, you'll be chillin'. oh yeah and definately ditch that hideous stock manifold, or at least put the cover back on.

Well my freind wants the motor in it. He has a focus with 39k miles. He wants to swap motors and give me $800 cash. He plans to run a turbo were, I just want reliablity. He's done a couple motor swaps on Focuses so we should be able to do it. Any other response would be helpful. Thanks guys

F it, drop in an OEM contour SVT motor (2.5 V6) and leave that one stock..you'll roll out and have OEM reliability! :)

...that is a stout ass motor though...sell it on ebay and buy a motor from a junkyard..make some coin on the deal!
