QA1 adjustable rear shock install question

Need a little help as this just doesn't look right. I pressed the included bushing into the lower shock mount then went to torque down the nut, the bracket was pulled in due to the QA1 being thinner than the stocker. Anybody have any experience with this shock?

I ended up using a washer to make up the gap in the spacing between the shock and the mount...problem solved
