They offered me 4% to finance the 8k for the new escape. I said nah i’ll Just pay cash. Looking forward to picking it up.

Dealers around here are offering 7 to 9k off platinum explorers

Are they making you wait to pick it up until after my check gets there?

    lol That's ridiculous.

I bought my last explorer xlt in 2003 when they had 10K + markdowns so I was 22K out the door. I know its not an expedition, but do you see any chance of big discounts to clear 18s now or 19s in the fall? The turbo 4 says it will get 27 on the highway, which is a big part of what I'm looking for.

I imagine the 2019 Explorers will have significant rebates once the 2020s hit the ground. But at that point you'll be picking over inventory that everyone else has already picked over.

I really like the current gen Explorer and would pick one up as an outgoing model if not for that damn internal 3.5 water pump. What a stupid idea. What a way to compromise an otherwise fantastic engine. Do the 2.3 eco's hold up and have acceptable mpg?

Yes, as far as I've seen. I don't recall seeing too many over the 100k mark yet.

Still trying to figure out why on a fully loaded escape I can’t control the climate with voice commands. Every indication is that it should but it don’t. I am wondering if the took it out but failed to document it. The dealer is supposed to be calling someone at ford Corp to see if they have an explanation. Love the car otherwise tho lol

I like open tops and I've had such good luck buying used Coyote Convertibles that I thought that I would never buy new again. I was going to wait, until last Jan/Feb, to try to pick up an '18 ragtop, but couldn't pass on the deal that I got for my new '18 last May. Premium, A10, Black Accent, Nav, Safe and Smart, 3.55's, Red on Red. Sticker was $52k and I walked out the door for $43k, plus I got low retail for my loaded yellow '15 Premium A6 Vert. No extra warranty or anything post sale. The car was built in November '17 and basically sat in that showroom the whole time, until I bought it in May. Plus, I was an out-of-state buyer (I live in a seller's market...) and my trade-in could only be viewed by emailed pictures. They admitted that they had a buyer for my yellow car, before we even finished our online handshake. This seems like I got a really good deal, given that I was trading-in. Any ideas why? Was it because the car sat in the showroom for 6 months? Did the fact that they had a loyal local customer waiting for a good used S550 Triple Yellow GT Convertible make a difference? I understand that mine are fairly open ended questions, but I'm beside myself with curiosity. Is 17-18% off MSRP not that big a deal for a high end Mustang? Perhaps, I'm letting a little confirmation bias creep into my opinion of my deal. Lol. Thanks...

I bought a hemi charger that has a timing chain replacement recall open. Coincidentally, the water pump needs to be replaced. Do you think most dealers would or wouldn't put the new pump I bought on instead of the leaking one when they put it back together? Should I ask the service dept nicely? Or give the tech $20-40 and only talk to him about it?

It just depends. They might have had your sold for $5k over what they gave you on trade.

I think they would put the new one on.

I'm trying to ballpark my daily driver f150 trade in value, where can I find the closest trade value that i would realistically expect? Thanks.

    1. Are ALL Ford, Lincoln dealers eligible for 2020 gt500?

    2. Is there a fee for dealers to be able to sell shelby mustangs?

    3. Does EVERY dealer get 1 allocation for 2020 MY

    Thanks!

To my knowledge all Ford dealers have the option to buy in to the FP Shelby Mustang.
It used to cost the dealer $1k per year for the Shelby program.
I’m assuming it will be $1k for the 350(will there be a 20 350?) and another $1k for the 500, Again each year.
With this buy in the dealer will at least get one FP Shelby Mustang. The other Shelby Mustangs are allocated by Mustang and FP sales plus dealer awards such and the Presidents award.

Go to www.chuckandersonford.com and click on the "Sell Your Car" button on the top right. I'll give you an extremely accurate value.

    1. Yes.
2.) Yes, $1,000 per year to be enrolled in the program.
3.) In the past, if you sign up for the program you're guaranteed to get one. Then further allocation is based off of Mustang sales, new vehicle volume sales, and CSI scores. However, I've heard rumor that all participating dealerships will ONLY get 1 for MY20.

SELLING them and being able to adequately SERVICE them are 2 different things, aren’t they? Isn’t Shelby service training limited to certain dealers?
