I ran 5w 30 in my old GT and never had any issues at all. The oil was changed every 1500- 1800 miles due to thats all I put on the car in 3 month.

The oil always can out pretty damn clean.

What Lee said. If your looking to do something with the oil, try an additive like Lucas or something.

I run 15w50 Mobil 1. I like it. I figure a little less blowby with the supercharger. Mobil 1 tends to be on the thin side compared to regular oils anyway.

So far I have ran Royal Purple in everything I've owned and had no problems. They make a 10w30.

I would go the synthetic route before I went with the heavier weight oil...

without a doubt!!!!!!!
although on my high mileage worn the hell out gt i ran mobil 1, 15w50 because oil pressure was so low due to again worn out bushings.
my low mileage cobra i was running 0w40 mobil 1 now running 5w30 mobil 1.
i should add i get all my oil for free though :D
