I think the "whining" noise I'm hearing could be one of the idler pulleys...not sure. Anyone have a similiar problem or experience a loud, high pitch whine while shifting through the gears? I believe it's engine related, the pitch increases with the rpms. I think I've seen others refer to one of the pulleys as the problem. Another hassle, if it is one of the pulleys...I've tried to locate ordering info with no luck. P/N and number stamped on the front of the pulley doesn't cross at my local ford:

Any help is greatly appreciated:thumbsup:

that actually sounds like a vaccum leak.. mine did the same thing, did some searchiing with some brake cleaner in a can, and found a leak at the TB. tightened it up.. good so far, with no more noise.

Sounds like it could be the belt. I have had the same issue at times with various belts.
