Just picked up a 04 cobra vert and i want to put a smaller pulley on it. i am thinking of a 2.80" pulley just need to find out what stock idler i should swap out so i can use the stock belt and not have any slippage. Do i need to run a bigger idler with the 2.80" pulley? and can i keep my stock belt its almost new?

I'd recommend a 2.76 with the billetflow 4 pc idler kit. That can use the stock belt. IMO an idler kit is a good upgrade before a stock idler explodes. Protect that new belt from slipping also.

Just throwing this out there, I have a steeda pulley that ill sell. Pretty sure its the 2.81. Need to get it unpacked. Forgot i even had it until reading this.

You would need an auxiliary idler pulley and you can run stock idlers with a 74.5 belt. If you use stock belt. Belt slippage will occur.
