I'm new to the board, and I did a search with the fields "pulley explanation" and I couldn't come up with what I was looking for so I was wondering if you guys could explain to me what exactly effects a pulley and changing the belts has on a motor, and why so many of you are changing them..and what other things have to be changed upon changing the stock pulley and belt system to an upgraded one..Also if you could give me examples of what you guys have done, like your pulley size and what pound of belt you're using..
Keep the horse's Rock'n and the Chevy owners begin for mercy!!

Try the keywords; PULLEY INSTALL

Putting a smaller diameter pulley on the blower causes it to spin more (faster) per Engine rpm. Up to a point, the faster the blower spins the more horsepower the engine can make.

Putting a larger lower (crankshaft) pulley does the same thing, makes the blower and the alternator spin faster.
