I picked up a pulley and do not have a plate to lock the torque converter, Have never done a swap on an auto, just a standard car. What do I need to do?

There's a how-to on rpmoutlet.com that you can go by.
I'll look it up, looks like I might have to shove my roomate under there and have him lock it with a cresent wrench.
